Lakmé Fashion week

Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) is a jointly organized by Lakme, the No.1 cosmetics and beauty brand in India and IMG Fashion, global leader in the management and production of fashion weeks and designer fashion events. LFW has been conceived and created with a vision to “Redefine the future of fashion and Integrate India into the global fashion world”.

The fashion week, which begins tomorrow, will showcase clothes that are available now and not what will come later.

The fashionista will have to bring forward their date with the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) this year. India’s oldest fashion week will open tomorrow (Friday), which is earlier than the usual. It is normally held in April every year.

Queenie; Mumbai’s leading fashion icon, style diva and jewellery designer is opening the Lakme Fashion Week on Friday with designer Rocky S for Gitanjali Lifestyle’s new brand — Queenie for Giantti.

Lakme Fashion Week Summer/ Resort 2010 will focus on Resort Wear which is defined as a year round fashion wear, one that’s easy to wear and caters to warmer climates globally. Contrary to the belief that Resort Wear is beachwear, the style encompasses a variety of apparels from kaftaans to evening dresses for women and comfortable, lightweight shirts, trousers and jackets for men.
